Maple Curvy Bowl

With a mishap

This would have been a pretty straightforward bowl, but I accidentally knocked it off the chuck while turning. But I saved it.

This piece started as a piece of our firewood. We get cut-off blocks from a place that makes shipping crates, and it's work really great for our woodburning stove. Once in a while I'll see a piece that looks promising. This piece had some checks (cracks), but that's what glue is for, right?
